Sulitest Impact signs Memorandum of Understanding with SEAC to Advance Global Sustainability Assessment

We are pleased to announce that Sulitest Impact has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sustainability Education Accreditation Commission (SEAC). This new partnership establishes an international collaboration aimed at strengthening and elevating quality assurance and competency-based assessment in higher education sustainability degree and certificate programs.
The agreement between SEAC and Sulitest was signed at the recent 2026 AASHE Conference in Baltimore, MD.

The Sustainability Education Accreditation Commission (SEAC)
The Sustainability Education Accreditation Commission (SEAC) is an independent accrediting body dedicated to assuring quality, rigor, and continuous improvement in higher education sustainability degree and certificate programs through peer-validated standards.
The mission of SEAC is to support high-quality programs that prepare graduates for careers addressing complex social, environmental, and economic sustainability challenges across all sectors including business, government, non-profits, and education. SEAC achieves this by providing evidence-based quality assurance guidance while supporting professional networks that elevate curriculum, teaching, assessment, and organizational support for sustainability programs.
SEAC-accredited programs are recognized as trusted partners to employers and communities, catalysts for institutional transformation, and anchors of local to global sustainability impact Visit the SEAC Website here.
Complementarity of SEAC and Sulitest TASK Quality Assurance Processes
More specifically, this collaboration directly reinforces SEAC’s Core Standards for Assessment & Evaluation, which emphasize the use of holistic, multi-modal formative and summative evaluations to measure student learning and inform continuous curricular improvement.
For example, SEAC Core Standard 3.4 on “Sustainability Assessment for Students” requires that programs provide evidence showing “the use of a variety of assessment methods—from tests on core concepts to hand-on projects—to gain a more accurate and complete picture of what students have learned about sustainability.” This, of course, is exactly what TASK™ The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge does. And for this reason, while SEAC does not require that programs use TASK, SEAC does formally recognize TASK as an assessment tool that provides the type of reliable, robust, and longitudinal data SEAC welcomes when institutions undergoing SEAC accreditation write and document their self-study reports.
Facilitated Access to TASK
To support the mission of SEAC, Sulitest henceforth extends to SEAC-accredited programs discounted access to Sulitest TASK–The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge. Fostering synergies between institutional data tracking and programmatic quality assurance among its partners, Sulitest extends this same discounted access to institutions that report through AASHE STARS. As such, programs that are both AASHE STARS reporters and SEAC-accredited now accumulate and double discounted access to TASK.
By aligning TASK’s psychometric assessment data with SEAC’s peer-reviewed programmatic standards, both organizations aim to provide higher education institutions with comprehensive tools to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful sustainability education.
Testimonials from SEAC and Sulitest Leadership
"At SEAC, we look for organizational synergies that advance our mission to elevate quality sustainability degree programs. TASK directly aligns with our core standards related to assessment of students and evaluation of programs. For us, it’s not about the score graduates of sustainability programs receive—it’s about what the programs learn from understanding what their students know, and donʻt know, about global sustainability" said Dr. Krista Hiser, President of SEAC.
"While we don’t require programs to use TASK, SEAC-accredited programs will receive an invitation to see what TASK insights can reveal about their curriculum and teaching. TASK is a versatile assessment tool that can be integrated into classroom activities, capstone projects, learning outcomes assessment, and program-level evaluation. In addition, the aggregate data that TASK yields across higher education is valuable for informing curricular review and reform in line with the UN SDGs and 2023 agenda for Sustainable Development."
"We at Sulitest value our new partnership with SEAC because we believe that education for sustainability requires robust processes in assessment, quality assurance, and program accreditation. Happily, building such processes is at the heart of both the SEAC and Sulitest mission," stated Jean-Christophe Carteron, Founder and CEO of Sulitest Impact. "With our respective and complimentary approaches to helping institutions design, deliver, and demonstrate the impact of SDG-aligned education, this futures-thinking SEAC-Sulitest partnership is redefining the meaning of quality education today."
Jean-Christophe Carteron added, "We at Sulitest proudly partner with SEAC in our shared goal of supporting and accompanying HEI’s in reimagining education for a sustainable future, in effecting transformative change in pedagogy and curricular content, and in demonstrating program quality vis-à-vis both assessment data (via TASK Change Leaders) and alignment to standards of good practice (via SEAC accreditation)."
